Interview with Billy J. Kramer of The Dakotas

Billy J. Kramer is an English pop singer. With The Dakotas, he was managed by Brian Epstein during the 1960s and scored hits with several Lennon–McCartney compositions never recorded by the Beatles, among them the UK number one "Bad to Me" (1963). Kramer and the Dakotas had a further UK chart-topper in 1964 with "Little Children" and achieved U.S. success as part of the British Invasion.

Midtown Make A Difference Day: “REUNITED!”

Join us on Friday, July 26th, from 4 PM to 7 PM on Franklin Street in Midtown Kingston for the annual Midtown Make A Difference Day, themed “REUNITED!” This special event is designed to bring our community together, offering a chance to reconnect with neighbors, engage with local organizations, and celebrate the spirit of togetherness.

Enjoy community dances and a variety of activities suitable for all ages. The event will be hosted by Jessieca McNabb, a well-known comedian and community organizer, who co-hosts “We Got Next” on Radio Kingston. Marvin Campbell will keep the energy high as the event’s DJ.

Thanks to generous sponsorship from Rose Women’s Care Service, Family of Woodstock, Inc., the City of Kingston, and Radio Kingston, all food and activities will be free. A portion of the event will be held at the AME Zion Church off Franklin Street.

Please note that Franklin Street will be closed from Broadway to Prospect Street during the event, and on-street parking will not be permitted.

Singer/Songwriter/Composer Jimmy Webb

Warren welcomes renowned songwriter, singer, and composer Jimmy Webb. He has written numerous platinum-selling songs, including "Up, Up and Away", "By the Time I Get to Phoenix", "MacArthur Park", "Wichita Lineman", "Worst That Could Happen", "Galveston", and "All I Know". In 1986, JImmy was inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame and the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame four years later. He's also received the National Academy of Songwriters Lifetime Achievement Award, among others.
